North Gaston High 草榴社区 Student Parking Lot 2025–2026
Parking on campus is a privilege that comes with responsibility.
Students must adhere to all Gaston County 草榴社区s regulations as well as the North Gaston Student Parking Lot expectations to maintain the ability to park on campus.
Parking Registration
Students may register for a parking space at the beginning of the school year or as soon as they turn 16 and begin driving to school. To receive a parking pass, students must:

Complete the form. Students can print the form or they will be available in the front cube. You will need a parent/guardian signature to reserve your spot.

Submit the form with the $25.00 fee to the Security Cube at the front entrance.

Provide a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration.
- Returning drivers should have parking permits purchased and displayed in cars by Labor Day each school year.
Parking passes will be assigned in the order of purchase.
If students wish to park near their friends, they must coordinate and register at the same date and time in order to be placed next to each other. Requests to move after assignments are finalized will not be honored.Seniors may purchase parking passes August 4-7th in the security cube. All underclassman may begin purchasing parking passes on August 8th.
The following parking spots are reserved exclusively for Junior Marshals:

Spots 129–133
These spaces will be clearly marked with signage. A drawing will be held in July to assign spaces to the selected Junior Marshals. The assignments will be emailed to Junior Marshals prior to the paint days. These spots are free of charge. However, if a Junior Marshal loses their parking cling, a $5.00 replacement fee will be required.
Junior Marshals are the only students allowed to paint their assigned parking spaces.
Painting may take place July 28–July 31, weather permitting. Students must use school-appropriate designs and receive prior approval before painting. Additional guidelines for painting will be shared with Junior Marshals ahead of time.General Parking Expectations

Each vehicle must display the official parking cling with the assigned spot number, visible on the passenger-side windshield.

Students must park only in their assigned space.

Speed limit is 5 mph while on campus.

All vehicles must be locked at all times. The school is not responsible for any lost or stolen items, including theft resulting from unlocked vehicles.

Loitering in the parking lot is not permitted before or after school.

Students may not return to their vehicles during the school day without administrative or security permission.

All vehicles on campus are subject to search if there is reasonable suspicion of rule violations.

Any form of reckless driving, including speeding, spinning tires, or playing loud music, may result in loss of parking privileges.

Students may not allow other students to use their assigned parking space under any circumstances.
Consequences
Failure to comply with parking expectations may result in:

Disciplinary action in accordance with Gaston County 草榴社区s policy
