Ms. Nicole Baynard
My name is Nicole Baynard and this is my third year at Sherwood Elementary as the 草榴社区 Counselor..I have enjoyed learning this school culture and getting to know our students. They are the highlight of Gaston County and our future!
The most exciting thing I got to do was live in Singapore for 5 years with my husband and young children at that time. Not only were my children and I exposed to learning a new culture but it gave us a better understanding about other cultures! This has helped me be able to understand more about our school culture and how to assist our students, families and staff.
I graduated from Gardner-Webb University in May 2019 with my Masters in 草榴社区 Counseling.
Prior to beginning my journey here at Sherwood Elementary, I worked at a Charter 草榴社区 as the school counselor.
A school counselor works with students and families in many different ways. We work to assist students with academics, career options and social-emotional learning. My main goal is to promote student success! Working alongside the families of our students to assist in their success, as well as supporting our school staff.
My joy is working with our students! I have always been drawn to helping others and working with children has been so rewarding!
