Josh Allen, Principal

Dr. Allen began his career as an English teacher at East Gaston High 草榴社区 and continued teaching there for twelve years. While there he also taught Yearbook and Broadcasting/Journalism. He also spent many years at EGHS coaching boys' and girls' soccer and swimming. In the summer of 2023, he was hired as the principal at South Point High 草榴社区.  He previously served as the principal at Gaston Early College High 草榴社区 from 2018-2023 and as the assistant principal at Highland 草榴社区 of Technology from 2015-2018.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and a Masters of 草榴社区 Administration degree from Western Carolina University. He has a Doctorate of Educational Leadership degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
